What is Scrip?
Funny name, easy fundraising. Scrip = buying your typical gift cards from an organization that returns a percentage of the gift card price back to the school.
St. John works with ShopWithScrip/RaiseRight, which enables supporters to purchase physical gift cards, reloadable gift cards, and eCards via their website and their very handy RaiseRight app. Many eCards are available for use immediately following purchase.

How does Scrip work?
Parents and supporters of the school can purchase gift cards (physical or eCards) for over 700 retailers directly from ShopWithScrip.com or via the associated RaiseRight app. ShopWithScrip donates 2.5% to 20% of the gift card purchase price back to the school. The gift cards can be used at stores just as one would use any gift card, where it’s worth the full face value. It is as simple and straightforward as it sounds.

Physical Gift Cards
These are the same gift cards you see at the store. You’re probably familiar with giving them as gifts, but you can also use them for your own purchases. ShopWithScrip/RaiseRight offers physical gift cards for over 700 retailers. You can purchase these directly from ShopWithScrip.com or via the RaiseRight app (they will be mailed to you), or by calling the St. John School office: (415) 584-8383.

Scrip eGift Cards
Scrip eGift Cards are electronic gift cards that you can buy and receive instantly. You can use them for online purchases, print them, or redeem them from your phone when you’re on the go using the RaiseRight app.
RaiseRight
RaiseRight is a mobile app that simplifies supporting St. John School using scrip. Using the RaiseRight app you are able to order physical gift cards, reload gift cards, and purchase eGift cards directly from your mobile device for a wide selection of retailers. Purchases are conveniently stored in your app Wallet. Many eCards can be used immediately for online and in-person store purchases. Purchases from ShopWithScrip.com automatically transfer and are available to use/print from the RaiseRight mobile app.
Reload Your Gift Cards
You can order a reloadable physical gift card from ShopWithScrip/RaiseRight which you can add funds to when your balance is low. Over 120 retailer brands offer either ReloadNow or Reload that will add funds to your card immediately or overnight respectively, which means you won’t have to wait for a new card to ship to shop with scrip. St. John School will receive a percentage of your reload amount.
