Who We Are

St. John School is a private Catholic TK and K-8 school serving children in San Francisco. We strive for academic excellence with an emphasis on independent thinking and life-long learning. Our goal is to produce well-rounded elementary and middle school/junior high students that are well prepared to succeed in the high school and university of their choice. St. John is an affordable private school accessible to and open to all families.

Our Philosophy

We are a community of faith that nourishes each child’s spiritual, academic, physical, social, and emotional growth. St. John School instills the Ursuline tradition of charity and spirit into every student. Non-Catholic students are welcome and their beliefs are respected. All students are encouraged to share their thoughts throughout the curriculum and are welcomed to participate in religious ceremonies as their comfort level allows. We seek to be an affordable choice for private education, diverse and inclusive to all families.

Our Location

We are an affordable private school serving transitional kindergarten (TK), kindergarten, elementary and middle school/junior high students in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Centrally located in Glen Park, St. John Catholic School, is near public transportation and within easy reach of most of San Francisco’s residential neighborhoods.
